This workshop will explore academic research in-depth. Students will learn about the approaches to research in different fields and how to evaluate academic research for credibility, timeliness, and relevance.

  1. Students will understand what academic/scholarly research is and how the peer review process works. 

  1. Students will discuss how research methods and publication processes differ in different disciplines. 

  1. Students will begin to be able to evaluate academic sources for credibility and relevance. 

  1. Students will learn basic search strategies for academic databases.
