Intro to Managing Your Data with Databases Online
Sometimes a spreadsheet tool, like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, will do the job for collecting and manipulating data. But sometimes, our data involves more complex relationships that can become messy in spreadsheets and potentially threaten our data integrity. In these cases, a relational database might be a better tool for data entry and management. This two-hour workshop will explain the basic concepts of relational databases and demonstrate basic construction and query methods in both Microsoft Access and AirTable.
NOTE: This workshop is scheduled for two hours to provide ample time for all participants to gain hands-on experience; sample data files will be provided for use during the event.
